Note: Comments Moderation

File under: Deranged Devotees

Due to the fact that we now have online stalkers who are attempting to promote their egregiously inaccurate attacks on this site, we've enabled comments moderation. Those of you who are regular contributors will still be able to post comments, but there may be a delay of various time frames, depending on when we can get to releasing those comments from moderation. The stalkers are invited to continue to comment as well, provided the comments are pertinent to the ongoing discussion... as determined by us.

Thank you all for your forebearance in this matter.

It's mostly the activity of two individuals: Rasa Von Werder and Gerald Moreno.

Rasa's a bit off, if you know what I mean. Check her out for yourself.

Moreno is famous as an online stalker of Sai Baba critics. He's done this many times to many others. Recently, he allied himself with Rasa against me and this blog.

They've dug up a bit of my history. I was an enthusiastic participant in the early San Francisco rave scene and the neo-psychedelic community there. As a result of my assisting Douglas Rushkoff as he was researching his book, Cyberia, I ended up as one of the folks profiled in the book. Mind you, this all happened in 1989-1990.

Rasa and Gerald have jumped on this as a way to discredit me. They've taken to making up all kinds of lies about me using my appearance in Cyberia as a starting point.

I knew this was going to happen, and rather than allow them this space as their soapbox, I've enabled comments moderation to keep their noise to a minimum.

You can still track their attacks by clicking on one of the Stalklogs listed on the right-hand side of the page.

you are a human being with a checkered past, by some people's estimation

They wish. The fact is that tens of thousands of people came to spirituality by way of their first acid or ecstasy experience. Most of those folks have probably moved beyond the drugs. But I'd be willing to bet that the spirituality stayed with many more than the drugs did.

Who in the world is Rasa Von Werder? She looks like she needs a doctor or medication or something.

Ya think?

And Jody, for God's sake, stay off the drugs dude! They are not cool. Not good for you!

Your application of your personal strictures is noted and appreciated.

Great stuff, Jody.

I only wondered why you never enabled moderation before, but it is a good way of keeping the crackheads at bay.

Keep up the good work. All stalkers do is raise your profile, so they're actually giving you some free publicity. :-)
